August 2016 Newsletter

The dog days of Summer are over!

Sun burns have turned to tans, camping gear is going back in storage, and kids are dragging feet to the first day of classes - time to start planning your Fall marketing!

Go into any retail location and most have their Fall out and discounted. People tend to switch their mindset from summer fun to the roaring holidays quickly after Labor Day. Don't miss an opportunity to grab new customers early and reward loyal ones.

Here are a few ideas to help get your Fall marketing off the ground:
  • Send out an exclusive Summer Clearance to your VIP/Loyal customers
  • Have a VIP reveal party for your new Fall line of products or services
  • Have an exclusive Fall deal for new customers/clients
  • Update your social media and website with Fall inspired graphics (not only does it look good but it shows people you are actively involved)
  • Proactively look for craft fairs and boutiques you can attend. Some offer discounts if you sign up early.
  • If you do any craft shows or boutiques, make sure you let people know which ones you will be attending and create exclusive deals that they will only get if they come see you!
Take time to sit down this week and write out your Fall Marketing Plan and make sure to include a budget. A plan will keep you from scrambling at the last minute and loosing potential customers and sales.

Mark your Calendars!

Awesome Changes for WIBSUC

Women in Business South Utah County (WIBSUC) was created to bring together remarkable women with the desire to lead, to make sure they and other women have the two elements they need for success: confidence and connections.

We’re excited to announce some changes we are making to the format of Women in Business that we hope will help us build our confidence and strengthen our connections.

We’ll be going to a format of quarterly meetings, mini-symposiums, each one packed full of resources and opportunities.

Our annual membership will now be free and for now luncheons will be free for the remainder of the year.

So… mark your calendars, our meetings will be on July 26th and Oct 25th. We’ll be meeting from 11:00 - 1:00 with presenters and lunch.

Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter (link to the right) to receive monthly updates of other meet up/networking events, tips, and news from members!
